LDPE Best Practices, Tips, and Advice

    • LDPE is a journey. Use it to ask leaders any/all questions:
      • What is on their mind
      • What was their career journey
      • What scares them about leadership
      • Why do they like their job
      • What is leadership to them
      • How do you support other leaders
      • *Use these for project planning, coaching, and mentoring question prompts
    • Embrace the cohort model
    • Ask for what you need. Reach out to alumni or LDPE leadership for advice
    • Leadership development shouldn’t be cut and dry; embrace discomfort

    Costs

Program operation costs (meeting rooms, assessment fees, presenters, meals as appropriate) will be covered by each division, department, or college, and billed half in spring, and half at the conclusion of the program (fall). Cost per participant is typically around $5000 for the ten-month experience.

Note: Extension Program Leaders and Regional Directors are very supportive of finding funding for this program, as are CAS leaders. Additionally, quarterly professional development funds may be applied to the program costs. Feel free to reach out if you need support in this capacity.
